Workspace Health

The Workspace Health panel is the live diagnostic center of your workspace. It sits at the top of the workspace dashboard and surfaces actionable signals — problems and warnings computed from your current inventory that require attention. In v3.5.1, every signal became directly navigable: clicking a signal takes you straight to the filtered view where you can act on the issue.

Signal Severity Levels

Health signals are grouped by severity, each with a distinct visual style so the most urgent issues are immediately visible:

  • Critical (red): Conditions that require immediate action — expired software licenses, seat overages (more seats used than the total allocated), or assets stuck in a maintenance status for an unusually long time.
  • Warning (amber): Conditions that need attention soon — licenses expiring within 30 days, assets that have been unassigned for an extended period, or employees who currently have no assets assigned to them.
  • Info (blue/muted): Suggestions for data completeness — assets without photos, optional fields left empty.

Actionable Navigation (v3.5.1)

Starting in v3.5.1, each health signal card includes a direct action link that navigates you to the relevant filtered view — no need to manually search or filter to find the affected records.

  • Expired licenses → Opens Activos → Licenses, pre-filtered to show only expired licenses.
  • Licenses expiring soon → Opens Activos → Licenses, pre-filtered to show licenses expiring within 30 days.
  • Seat overages → Opens Activos → Licenses, pre-filtered to show licenses where used seats exceed the total.
  • Assets in maintenance → If all affected assets belong to one type, navigates directly to that asset list filtered by maintenance status. If multiple types are affected, each type appears as a clickable badge — click any badge to go straight to that type's filtered list.
  • Unassigned assets → Same pattern as maintenance: single-type navigates directly; multi-type shows per-type clickable badges.
  • Employees without assets → Opens the Employees section filtered to show only employees with no current asset assignments.

Contextual Banner

When you arrive at a filtered view from the Health panel, a contextual banner appears at the top of the list. It confirms why the filter is active (e.g., "Showing expired licenses from Workspace Health") and includes a Clear filter button that removes the filter and returns you to the full unfiltered view. This makes it easy to act on an issue and then continue browsing the full inventory without navigating back to the dashboard.

Per-Type Breakdown

For signals that affect multiple asset types — like "14 assets in maintenance" spread across Laptops, Servers, and Phones — the health card shows a row of type badges, each labeled with the type name and its individual count. In v3.5.1, each badge is independently clickable, so you can drill into a single type without seeing unrelated records mixed in.

Keeping Health Signals Current

Health signals are recomputed every time the workspace dashboard loads. There is no manual refresh step — switching to the dashboard tab always shows the latest state. In cloud mode, signals reflect data from the last completed sync cycle; trigger a manual sync if you want to ensure the latest changes from teammates are included.

Health in Local Mode

All health signals are available in local mode. The full computation runs on your device using your local database. No data is sent anywhere — the health panel works completely offline.
